Welcome to RadioRosary, the official weblog for the weekly Catholic and Marian Radio-Program, “Cause of Our Joy,” which airs each Sunday morning at 7:00 am, on WACE 730 AM. What better way to begin your Lord’s Day than to join radio personality Joe Ott, as he begins the day with prayer (Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy), reflection and interviews with various dynamic Catholic speakers and professionals who share the secrets of their success in their efforts at evangelization as professionals in their chosen fields of expertise. In reconciling their professional lives with the living of their faith – something that many professional, practising Catholics find increasingly difficult to accomplish in today’s radically secular, politically correct and relativistic culture – these men and women, filled, as they are, with the Holy Spirit, stand out as beacons of the Light of Christ in a world that has become so dense with the darkness of both individual and institutionalized structures of sin.
Having decidedly rejected God’s Divine Revelation of Himself to humanity in the Divine Person of Jesus Christ, and emboldened and seduced by the spirit of personified evil, humanity is now repeating the same proud and defiant challenge of the Prince of Darkness, the Prince of this world, to its Creator-God – that defiant challenge first articulated by Lucifer himself: “Non Serviam,” or, “I will not serve.”
Thus, as this “Culture of Death” picks up greater and greater momentum, it becomes all the more necessary for the members of the “faithful remnant” to stay and pray together, to encourage and support each other, to share with each other those pieces of information that they have found necessary for the journey, in these times of apostasy, tribulation and purification.
Most important, however, is that we do our best to feed and nourish our spirits, and this we accomplish first and foremost through reception of the Sacraments of the Church – frequent, if not daily, reception of the Most Holy Eucharist; and the assiduous practise of prayer and penance, through, with and in Our Blessed Virgin Mother Mary, Mediatrix of all Graces.
If you haven’t already done so, you absolutely MUST consecrate yourselves, your families and loved ones to the Most Immaculate Heart of Mary. For, as our Blessed Lady stated in 1917 at Fatima, “God has wished to establish devotion to [Mary’s] Immaculate Heart.” As has been pointed out and explained so eloquently by both St. Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort and St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe, the apex or summit of perfect devotion to Mary and her Immaculate Heart is the devotion of total consecration. It must be made clear that all true devotion to Mary is always and necessarily a means to the end of a more perfect devotion to our Lord, Jesus Christ, for Mary only and always repeats what she stated at the wedding feast at Cana: “Do whatever He tells you.” To assist you in locating free, online resources on Marian consecration, we have searched the web for some of the best content in this regard, and have come up with the following resources: to link to an entirely free, downloadable pdf version of de Montfort’s Treatise on True Devotion, click here or here; to link to beautiful prayers of consecration to our Lady, click here; finally, to purchase the latest paperback version of the book, click here.
Thus, to assist and encourage you on your path of righteousness throughout this period of the “New Advent,” a phrase oft repeated by the late, Great Blessed Pope John Paul II, we invite you to tune in for an hour of prayer and inspirational, true stories from various professional, practicing Catholics who have become known for (1) being experts in their chosen, respective fields, and (2) being extremely effective bearers of the Good News, or the “Gospel” of Christ Jesus, specifically in these spiritually trying times for all who are serious about living their faith in Christ and refusing to make easy compromises with the world.
May Our Lord and Our Lady Bless You and Enable You to Spread the Light of Christ, Who is the Way, the Truth and the Life!
